"The cheering for the last runner was louder than for the winner. That says everything about our children."
The stands were full, the sun was out and the track was fast. Sports Day brought out the best in our young athletes.
Three school records fell in the sprints, and the relays came down to the final leg more than once.
"The cheering for the last runner was louder than for the winner. That says everything about our children."
Our Under-9 relay team took nearly a second off the old record, and the Under-13 girls' 100 metres was the closest race of the day.
Every child earned house points for taking part, and our coaches handed out awards for effort and sportsmanship as well as speed.
Photos from the day are in our gallery. Thank you to every family who came to cheer.
