Badminton training at Maplewood Sports Academy

Fast Feet, Sharp Smashes

Our badminton academy runs on indoor courts, teaching footwork, racket skills and rallies for beginners and squad players.

It is a great first racket sport: fast, fun and easy to enjoy from the very first session.

Pick Their Level

Ages 7 to 9

Beginners

Grip, serve and keeping a rally going.

Ages 10 to 12

Improvers

Footwork, clears, drops and singles play.

Ages 12 to 16

Squad

Doubles tactics and inter-school tournaments.

Every term ends with a short skills report, so you can see exactly how your child is progressing.

Game Time

Sessions run after school on weekdays and on weekend mornings at our Mohamed Bin Zayed City - ME9 campus in Abu Dhabi. Ask us for the current timetable for your child's age group.

Good To Know

No. Rackets and shuttles are provided for all sessions.

Yes. Badminton runs in our air-conditioned sports hall.

Yes. Every child can book a free trial class before joining a term.

Yes. The academy is open to all children aged 4 to 16, not only Maplewood students.
