Our Commitment

Every child has the right to enjoy sport safely. Our coaches and staff put children's wellbeing first in every session, camp and event.

Safe Coaches

All coaches are background checked, hold qualifications in their sport, and are trained in first aid and child protection before they work with children.

Supervision

We keep small groups with clear coach-to-child ratios. Children are signed in and out, and are only handed to parents or adults named on the registration form.

Injuries and Head Knocks

First aid is available at every session. Any suspected head injury means the child stops playing and parents are contacted straight away.

Raising a Concern

If you are worried about a child's safety, speak to the head coach or email maplewoodconnect@maplewood.school. Every concern is taken seriously and handled in confidence.

Heat Policy

The UAE summer brings extreme heat, so we plan around it:

• Outdoor sessions move indoors or to early mornings when the heat is high
• Water breaks at least every 20 minutes, and shade at every break
• Coaches watch for signs of heat stress and stop activity at once
• Children bring a named water bottle, a cap and sunscreen
